Assisted Living Communities

light to moderate care

Assisted Living Communities are a type of housing designed for older adults/seniors and people with disabilities who cannot or choose not to live independently and usually need various levels of medical and personal care. Living spaces can be individual rooms, apartments or shared quarters. The facilities generally provide a home – like setting and are physically designed to promote the residents independence, though the majority of the residents are individuals who require assistance with at least one or some of their activities of daily living.
The most common Assisted Living services offered include medication management, assistance with using the bathroom, bathing, dressing, grooming, housekeeping, meals ( including special meal preparation ), laundry and transportation services. Social programs and activities are typically included. Staff is available 24/7. Health care services are often provided by outside providers.
